On June 1st, Ocean Academy went to the Ocean County Landfill in Manchester Township. The students saw a brief presentation on how the landfill works while they had donuts thanks to Mr. Fink, a former student’s dad. After the presentation, students and staff boarded the bus and went on a tour of the facility. At the end we went to one of the warehouses where everyone saw the falcons up close. The falcons help keep other birds, mainly seagulls away. Despite the smell, everyone had a great time!
