In keeping with our month of holiday festivities, we took another trip to Algonquin Arts Theater to see the Charles Dickens’ famous classic ,“A Christmas Carol”. Featuring the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, the cast of seasoned actors brought this story to life with beautiful musical performances and comedic dialog. As Ebenezer Scrooge encountered the three spirits of the past, present, and future, the students at OA learned about the importance of being kind, learning to forgive, and above all, to treat others as we would like to be treated.
Brought to us by the TheatreWorks USA production, it was a energetic and spirited performance with costumes and set props that gave us a sense of what life was like during that period of time. We all enjoyed this play and all of the performances at Algonquin Arts Theater this year. We can’t wait to go back in 2018!
Did You Know: “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens is one of the most beloved works of 19th-century literature, and the story’s enormous popularity helped make Christmas a major holiday in Victorian Britain.
