Ocean Academy students and staff took a seasonal visit to Argo’s Farm for an early fall break. Students enjoyed a bounce on the high jump tarp and a ride down the hill-side slide. Even the staff enjoyed a bounce and a slid! Students and staff were then off to a hay-ride across the pasture fields viewing typical farm animals and structures. A free pick-for-all into the pumpkin patch was next as each student selected a seasonal pumpkin for use in a school project yet to come! Afterwards, students and staff separated into groups and searched through a corn maze themed to the story “Spookley, the Square Pumpkin”, a Halloween children’s favorite. A picnic lunch wrapped up our pumpkin picking adventure, where students were allowed some free time before boarding the OA bus back to school. The weather was sunny and warm and all classes enjoyed an early fall day on an authentic organic farm and roadside agricultural attraction.
