On Lead Testing
Bright Harbor Healthcare and Ocean Academy are committed to protecting student, teacher, and staff health. Ocean Academy recently began testing water within our school in accordance with regulations adopted in July of 2016 by the State of New Jersey Board of Education. The regulations mandate testing for lead in drinking water in all public schools throughout New Jersey, reporting the results of testing, and any remedial actions required. As the results are received, we will post them for parents, staff, and students to review.
For more information about reducing lead exposure around your home and the health effects of lead, visit EPA’s website, www.epa.gov/lead , call the National Lead Information Center at 800-424-LEAD, or contact your local health care provider. For information about the NJDEP – Division of Water and Geoscience and Lead Sampling in School Facilities visit https://www.state.nj.us/dep/watersupply/schools.htm. If you are concerned about lead exposure at this facility, you may want to ask your health care providers about testing children to determine levels of lead in their blood.
The sampling was conducted by JR Henderson Labs, Inc. on 7/17/2023 for a PDF please click here – Analytical Results for Lead Report.
