Ocean Academy is no stranger to the historic Algonquin Theater in Manasquan, NJ.   Each year, OA gets the privilege to see plays and performances there that both educate and entertain.   This past visit to the Algonquin was particularly special, allowing us the opportunity to see Rising Stars, a classical music competition for NJ high school students.  These talented teens sang and played the piano, giving the listeners the chance to hear classical, opera, and original works by the performers.   For some of our students, it was the first time hearing music in the classical genre, opening them up to something totally new.   Not only did our students get exposure to something new, but seeing these young musicians share their gifts with the audience was inspiring and showed our students just how far having dedication to your passion can get you.
