OceanMHS receives their second SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) grant
Bayville— 2/3/2021 —Today, OceanMHS received the SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grant. “When we became a CCBHC in 2018, it enabled OceanMHS to expand and deliver care in ways we never have before. Our vision to bring truly integrated healthcare to the residents of Ocean County was finally realized,” said James Cooney, CEO of OceanMHS. “Knowing that we can continue this care and develop new expansions and enhancements to treatment is truly an honor.” Cooney went on to say.
Positive Community Impact
Since 2018, OceanMHS has been providing enhanced behavioral health, substance abuse and physical health care services. Additionally, OceanMHS expanded crisis services to include same day access to care for community members struggling with substance abuse. With the opening of their Outpatient Detox center in June 2020, OceanMHS is not only able to meet all healthcare needs, but deliver them in a coordinated and continuous manner. A recent OceanMHS client said “I’ve been in treatment for years, and after receiving care from OceanMHS, I’m finally ready to be done with therapy-because I feel that much better.”
Service Availability
With over 40 service programs, including specialized trauma treatment, outpatient detox and TMS Depression treatment, OceanMHS has been privileged to serve the residents of Ocean County for over 60 years.
