We love Art to the moon and back! The recent eclipse served as great inspiration for our first project of the year.
In this lesson, we used a number of materials and techniques to achieve some wonderful results. Students illustrated with pencil, colored with pastels, cut and glued their subject and background, and finished the work off with a little paint. We learned about shading, contrast, volume and why these things help us develop strong pieces of art. There were some truly unique color combinations and compositions. Students had a great time and were engaged in the process. Great job to all those involved!
