Going Above and Beyond

Susan Cella, RN was selected as Bright Harbor Healthcare’s Health Care Hero on 8/20/21. Susan was nominated for this award by two of her colleagues.  Susan is a nurse working on the PACT 2 team. Throughout the pandemic, Susan has voluntarily taken on duties and tasks that go beyond her role as nurse. 

During the time is was necessary to limit staff in the office, Susan came in daily to assist in answering client phone calls, scheduling medication appointments and assisting staff and clients in understanding health and safety precautions during such a precarious time. Susan has ensured that client’s health needs and healthcare has remained uninterrupted.  

The PACT team works as in interdisciplinary team, and throughout the pandemic, Susan has taken on every single role on the team when needed and necessary to ensure clients received the best care. Susan’s colleagues at PACT 2 wanted to recognize Susan for going above and beyond in such challenging times. During a time of turmoil and uncertainty, Susan has remained positive and optimistic, and has provided much needed support to her teammates as she has to their clients.
