OceanMHS Awarded SAMHSA Grant

BAYVILLE, NJ – In September 2018, OceanMHS was proud to announce their selection as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)“This is a great honor and privilege to be one of the few agencies in the state, and throughout the country, to be identified as a CCBHC.” said James Cooney, LCSW CEO, OceanMHS.
As a CCBHC, OceanMHS will have the ability to transform access to care in our community, by increasing access to mental health and addiction treatment; expanding capacity to address the opioid crisis; collaborating with partners in hospitals, primary care doctors, and schools; and attracting and retaining qualified staff who offer science-based, trauma-informed services, often on the same day patients present for care.
This will allow for an increased access to and greatly improved quality of community behavioral health services, providing person-and family-centered services, and providing access to services for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including opioid disorders; children and adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED); and individuals with Co-Occurring Disorders (COD)Kim VeithLCSW, LCADC, OceanMHS Director of Adult Clinical Services, and her dedicated team, will be leading this initiative.
